 | 03/17/2005 - Version 2.1.0.272
 | *** IMPORTANT: Your old profiles are likely to not work correctly.
There have been new variables introduced and some taken out. Sorry! |
 | Plugin has been updated with the knowledge of the latest weapon damages
and elemental bonuses |
 | Complete redesign of grading system for missile weapons. It now
relies on proper arrow damages to calculate DOTs and Damage Grades |
 | Plugin now reports DOT percentages, which are ratios of current's
weapons DOT to the best weapon's DOT in current and maximum wield categories |
 | Plugin now shows potential AL for armor in parenthesis |
 | A slew of new variables to construct custom formulas with. Check
out the Help screen in BS/2 external profile editor |
 | Ability to copy+paste rules from one profile to another in BS/2 external
profile editor |
 | New sample profile provided |
 | Fixed a host of miscellaneous bugs |
|
 | 07/04/2004 - Version 2.1.0.150
 | Ability to loot all the matched items at once via a single key-press or
automatically |
 | Ability to loot only items that match specially marked Alerts at once
via key-press or automatically |
 | Fixed damage grades for low wield Dirks and Staves (DmgGrade is up to
version DmgGrade1c now) |
 | Fixed miscelenous minor bugs |
|
 | 04/22/2004 - Version 2.1.0.122
 | Important: Redesigned Uberness grades for weapons. Grades are no
longer "subjective" and no longer take into account ANY mods. Uberness
grades have been turned into "Damage Grades" and work only with
potential damage that the weapon can do. They are purely objective now. All
weapon damages used in formulas should be up to date as of April patch.
Same applies to wands. Also, BS/2 grades should no longer punish people for proper application of
Granite/Iron. |
 | DmgGrade1b and ConvGrade1b are this release grade versions of dmg/uberness
grades |
 | Important: New link to Deadeye Color System plugin made by Ascus!
This is a very exciting feature, because now BS/2, thanks to this wonderful
plugin, can display armor COLORS in its ID strings. If you have DCS
installed and working correctly, BS/2 will auto-include colors into its
strings. Also, custom formulas now have a new variable called "Colors" which
you are free to use in your custom rules. |
 | Support for three new armor types has been added |
 | Updated with the changes in April patch to account for new skill bonuses
in wands and weapons. You can now create rules and specify Minimum MagicD,
MissileD and MeleeD bonuses on weapons and wands |
 | Fixed MeleeD bonuses on weapons/wands that were showing up as +-100m |
 | New flag in the "Options" tab to disable login spam from BS/2. Use at
your own risk. If you miss an important info that I will try to communicate
to you at login time and than come and bug me about it because your login
spam is disabled, I will get very mad and send lighting onto you. |
 | Level 7 and "Unknown" scroll detection at any level should be working as
intended now. |
 | New mathematical operation in custom formulas, "to the power of" is
represented by ^ symbol. |
 | New custom formula variables: TinksLeft, PotentialAL, Imbue, Unimbued,
Colors, MagicDMod, MissileDMod |
 | Mob Statistics have been fixed (not related to this build, but I might
as well mention it) |
 | As usual, comes with latest sample profile from Futile Effort of
Frostfell |
|
 | 09/15/2003 - Version 2.1.0.70
 | With the latest beta of Decal (2.6.0.0 RC2+), Decal is now capable of
letting BS/2 know of item's workmanship right away, as soon as the item
is created. So BS/2 can now be smarter about which items it
requests IDs for. Some items like Gems, unenchanted-jewelry and
clothing, crowns, unenchanted chain/leather/scale armor are virtually
worthless and are only good for when checking against Salvage or
Value-based rules. So, BS/2 now has a checkbox (enabled by
default) that will make it much smarter about which items it will
request ID's for, and thus be much much faster overall. Beside,
not ID'ing items I already specified, it will also not add corpses with
6,000 bu to the listing as those corpses are typically empty (unless
they contain pyreals). |
 | There have been a lot of requests for a BS/2 lite version. This BS/2 can now be "converted" into a BS/2
lite... sorta. In-game Editor now sports a "Options" tab where you can make it not attempt to ID any armor/weapons/jewelry/etc. When you say,
"Don't ID any of that stuff", it means that BS/2 rules will still be processed, but items won't be IDed. What's it good for? Salvage of course. So, if you go into an area where you know for sure there will not be any good loot, create a profile that caters to only salvage. The speed of notification will be instant.
For your convenience, a sample BS/2 Lite Salvage only profile is
supplied with this version of BS/2. |
 | BS/2 now spams much less when you ID items manually. It will not
spam with ID strings for when you ID items that other people are
holding, that are in a trade window, or that are in vendor window.
If you do want to know the BS/2 ID strings for those items, I provided a
new ID button on BS/2 main tab. You can also hot-key to that
button from DHS. |
 | Uberness grading has been tweaked again. It was counting minor
and major defender/heartseeker too heavily -- that's been fixed.
Also, wand ratings have been adjusted because with majority of high
magic-item imbuers across all servers capeable of putting 10 bags of
Opal into Craft5 wands, it makes no sense to not call Craft5, +10mc
Wands at 100%. |
 | When ID'ing armor with activated spells, BS/2 will finally no longer
show you the buffed stats. |
 | As usual, comes with updated Futile Effort's sample and default profiles
(slightly modified by me) |
|
 | 08/26/2003 - Version 2.0.0.974
 | The big new feature in this release is: A communications link to amazing
U.S.T. plugin
developed by Archui. First, for those who don't know, U.S.T. plugin
(formerly known as AutoSalvage) is a plugin that salvages all your
loot upon a click of a button - real quick. It has many safeguards
against salvaging items but unfortunately some are too broad and some are
too narrow. For example U.S.T. has no idea that this 24-40 Craft5
Steel sword you just found is uber and should not be salvaged, unless you
inscribed it or manually protect it via a button click. On the other
hand, U.S.T. is too overprotective about Minors and IF you tell it to
protect Minors, it will not salvage that Steel shield with AL20, Craft10,
and Minor Acid Bane. So, this is where BS/2 comes in. BS/2
can help U.S.T. protect uber items that you find on corpses, so that you can
lower U.S.T.'s own restrictions and have it rely on BS/2 telling it what
should not be salvaged. Still with me? Good, because that
previous sentence is critical to understand. For this marriage
between U.S.T. and BS/2 to work, you need first of all to download latest
U.S.T. that came out in correlation with BS/2 release:
UST 1.0.10.
For your sakes, and for the sake of your phat lewt - PLEASE make sure to
configure U.S.T before using it. -- Remember, BS/2 only tells U.S.T. about
new loot you find on corpses, not about what's good in your inventory right
now. I don't want folks to become overly confident and just start
salvaging without first protecting your equipment in U.S.T. Once you
configure U.S.T. (which is really simple to do) you than need to enable "Linking
to U.S.T." in the "Optns" tab of BS/2. Once enabled, the default
and sample profiles that come shipped with BS/2 this time will automatically
try to communicate with UST and tell it what to NOT salvage. This is
done via the "Protect" flag in each rule. If you are using your own
custom profiles, you will need to modify each rule that flags items that you
don't want salvaged. |
 | Other features include: |
 | BS/2 now contains flags for "Min. Level6 Spell Count", "Min. Minor Spell
Count" and "Min Major Spell Count" - so that you can create rules using
those 3 variables. The sample and default profiles provided have
already been switched to the use of "Min. Level6 Spell Count" for detection
of Multi-spell Jewelry and Clothing (this should prevent you from detecting
jewelry/clothing with 1 lvl 6 and 1 lvl 4 spell for example). Thanks
Futile Effort! |
 | There was an issue with Uberness Grades for Spiked Clubs and Hammers -
issue which prevented quality Spiked Clubs and Hammers to be flagged. This
was corrected. Uberness Grade reads Gradev2a to reflect that. As
more changes are made to the grading, I will be bumping the version of the
grade higher. |
 | You may have noticed that as of August AC patch, BS/2 often spams you
twice about the same item in a corpse. While, I have no explanation as
to why its happening and suspect that it was caused by the fixes to ID'ing
system by Turbine staff in August patch, I've designed a workaround in BS/2
so that you will no longer see the duplicate ID spam. |
 | Folks on Win9x machines who were having issues with uploading statistics
should now try to upload again. |
 | BS/2 now spams less upon login. If you have Debugging enabled,
BS/2 will prefix debug messages with "Debug:" so that you know that this
sort of info is Debug only and can be turned off or on in Optns tab. |
 | I've made a conscious effort to reduce the length of BS/2 ID strings as
folks were complaining about not being able to copy+paste them into chat.
Futile Effort also worked on this by reducing the length of rule names in
sample/default profiles. |
 | As usual now, BS/2 comes shipping with latest sample and default
profiles from Futile
Effort of Frostfell. Please visit his
webpage to see what
are the changes this time around that he has made to them. Also, check
out his "ultra uber" profile that hard-core players may be interested in. |
|
 | 08/20/2003 - Version 2.0.0.945 |
 | This is mostly a "cleanup" release following 2.0.0800, however it does
have important new functionality that you better read about or I'm going to
burst up in flames if you start pestering me with the same questions and not
bothering to read
 | BS/2 now supports more hotkeys. But all the hotkeys are now
handled via DHS - Decal Hotkey System which you better install and get
familiar with. Thankfully DHS is very simple and easy to use, and you
likely already have it installed as it is required by other popular plugins
like Einstein and U.S.T. |
 | BS/2 will no longer lockup during Statistical uploads. In fact I
redesigned the whole thing about the uploading of data, but it should
hopefully be transparent to you. |
 | BS/2 will no longer randomly miss good items to report. This was
happening somewhat frequently and I'm proud to say, I finally nailed the bug
down. |
 | Uberness Rating has been redesigned from the ground up. Get
familiar with new way of rating weapon
here. I think the new rating is overall more streamlined and
uniform across different weapons. General rule of thumb: Second(Max)
grade of 80%+ is decent and should be picked up. |
 | I also fixed a gazillion of other smaller bugs that were reported, like:
BS/2 will no longer error out on mobs who have an apostrophe in their name.
Imbued weapons and armor now show proper Imbue names. etc. |
 | As always, this release comes with the latest updated sample and default
profiles supplied by Futile Effort from Frostfell. |
|
 | 07/22/2003 - Version 2.0.0.800 |
 | This is a major release that contains a very important
functionality. Read on carefully.
 | BS/2 is now capable of capturing various statistics about what
sort of loot monsters that you kill drop. You have the choice
to enable or disable such ability of BS/2 (on the More tab).
You also have a choice to upload that statistics to the central
server for processing into meaningful and helpful statistics.
Visit this page for latest reports. I
believe this feature will revolutionize our hunting and trading
patterns. At no time before, have we had such detailed and
accurate analysis of which monsters drop which loot and how often. |
 | I ask you to please upload the statistics to the server every
once in a while (once every few weeks will be great.) To keep
information uniquely tied to the user, the statistics will also be
sending to the server a GUID of your character and the server name.
A GUID is a publicly available number that is assigned to your
characters by AC server. Any object in AC contains a GUID
(Global Unique Identifier). For example, your GUID is sent to
every player in the area when you enter the vicinity -- thus a GUID
is a totally safe and yet unique identifier that I can use without
compromising any of your privacy issues. If for whatever
reason you are uncomfortable with this, by all means do upload
statistics. |
 | BS/2 now comes with an Excel worksheet that will help you
analyze your own captured monster (MOB) statistics. Excel
worksheet was created in Excel for XP. |
 | Wand Uberness grades have been introduced. It is also
possible to create rules based on grades. |
 | BS/2 can now track for Malachite and White Quartz. |
 | BS/2 will now report "RR" for weapons imbued with new Resistance
Rending materials. |
 | BS/2 will now report "Imbued" for armor and jewelry that has
been imbued. |
 | Uberness Grade generation formulas have been adjusted once again
for Missile Weapons. The weight of Melee Defense bonus has
been adjusted and downgraded. |
 | Folks who have been using the "Generate Trade list" feature have
often been getting "stuck" at 95-97%. While I did not resolve
this situation, it is now possible to Abort and Save the trade list
when it appears "stuck". So when at 95-97% when you think you
are stuck, just hit the "Abort and Save" button and it will generate
the Trade list. |
 | This build ships with the latest sample profile from Futile
Effort of Frostfell. I modified the profile a bit however
before releasing it. |
 | When BS/2 notifies you about found objects or monsters in the
area, it will also display relative coordinates as well. |
 | BS/2 will no longer spam you to hell when Debugging is enabled |
|
 | 06/30/2003 - Version 2.0.0.712
 | This is a bug-fix release and contains no new functionality. |
 | When calculating the "Uberness Grade" BS/2 was rewarding the
grade for crappy mods instead of punishing it. |
 | The weight of melee def. mod has been reduced by 50% when
calculating the Uberness Grade for missile weapons |
 | During inventory scan, bags of salvage should now show the
proper craft |
 | BS/2 now remembers which corpse tracking option you chose |
|
 | 06/25/2003 - Version 2.0.0.700
 | BS/2 now sports a brand new Universal Weapon Uberness grading
system. It took dozens and dozens of late hours for me to
design and write it -- PLEASE
read what it means and how it
works so that I am not bombarded with the same questions and
misconceptions over and over. You can also create custom rules
using the grade system. |
 | BS/2 can now scan and flag magic scrolls that you have not yet
learnt |
 | BS/2 can now generate rudimentary trade lists. Check out
the "More" page in the plugin interface. |
 | BS/2 can now scan for corpses killed by your fellow mates,
killed by anyone, or not scan for corpses at all. Check out
the "More" page in the plugin interface. |
 | BS/2 will no longer attempt to scan storage chests in your house
and your own bodies that you attempt to loot after death. |
 | There is now a checkbox that disables all the sounds from BS/2
universally. |
 | Misc. bugs have been fixed |
|
 | 06/19/2003 - Version 2.0.0.556
 | BS/2 now (finally) displays Imbues and number of Tinks in its ID
string. I know BS/2 strings are popular to do in auctions, so
this should help out a lot. |
 | BS/2 is now capable of opening corpses and picking up uber items
at a press of a single button. Before you could only select
them. Now there is a checkbox that if ON will make BS/2 open
corpses or pickup items. |
 | Sample profile that is being used has been supplied by Futile
Effort of Frostfell. |
 | Generally, BS/2 should now be much more friendly when it comes
to tradebot and vendor scanning. If you've been annoyed by it
before, this version might help you a little. No longer will
it try to scan items that you sell to the shop. No longer will
it keep trying to rescan items in a shop that it scanned before.
It will now examine the rules that you have setup for vendor and
tradebot scanning and only attempt to scan those items that fall
into categories identified by the rules. IE: You have only one
rule to scan in tradebots and that's for Majors on armor. BS/2
will only scan armor items on tradebots instead of everything. |
 | Bug fixes: when stackable items (like potions and peas) were
picked up from the corpse, BS/2 would not always remove the item
from the list. |
 | Hopefully in this version, you will have less issues manually
identifying items. |
|
 | 04/27/2003 - Version 2.0.0.530
 | No new functionality that I can recall. Only a fix for
that annoying "Divide by zero" error that everyone has been getting
once in a while. |
|
 | 04/12/2003 - Version 2.0.0.523
 | You now get a cute little progress bar that displays the
progress of scanning of containers, corpses, vendors, and tradebots. |
 | Some people have been reporting an issue that BS/2 would stop
working after a continuous use. This should be fixed in this
build |
 | Ingame profile editor was not saving Portal/Guildmates/Corpse
configurations. Now it should. |
|
 | 04/11/2002 - Version 2.0.0.515
 | There were a number of issues with the build 2.0.0.500 which
were fixed. This build is simply a bug fixer |
|
 | 04/11/2003 - Version 2.0.0.500
 | This is a major major new release. Biggest by the features
since September of '02 |
 | Plugin now comes with its own in-game Profile Editor! Finally!
To access the editor go to your Options tab and look on the bottom
for "Edit" button |
 | Plugin now finally scans vendors for phat lewt! Make sure
to mark your rules to "Scan Vendors" or you won't find nothing
though. |
 | Plugin will now remember its position even after you logout and
log back in. If you screw up and can't find the window, use
command: "/bsp reset" to bring the window back to default view |
 | Please, PLEASE read the downloads page carefully for
installation instructions. |
|
 | 04/07/2003 - Version 2.0.0.223
 | Now provides you with a text message when corpse scan was
finished. |
 | Internally fine-tuned to comply with the latest changes in the
way loot is ID'ed. |
 | Now comes with much better and updated default and sample
profiles created by Futile Effort of Frostfell (Also includes
separate rules for Dirks and Daggers) |
|
 | 02/20/2003 - Version 2.0.0.210
 | Updated Config Editor to most recent build! |
 | Included missing dependencies, sorry about that! |
|
 | 02/20/2003 - Version 2.0.0.200
 | First release by Solandra of Leafcull |
 | Fixed Mana Conversion bonus detection on wands, staves and orbs! |
 | Fixed bug added with February patch which was preventing items in the main
storage area of chests/corpses from being scanned if there were sub-containers present. |
 | Configuration utility now no longer opens full-screen by default. Yay! |
|
 | 11/17/2002 - Version 2.0.0.180
 | Inherent support for monster corpses! |
 | Special tab where your kills are displayed. Shows you
which corpses are your kills. Removes them from the
listing as you open them, so you know which corpses are left to
open. Check out this screenshot! |
 | Now displays uber items found on a corpse on the same panel as
the corpses are, for easier looting. |
 | You can now assign hotkeys to select the nearest corpse and to
select the first uber item in corpse. Check Options tab in
the plugin itself. No more mouse clicking! |
 | Default and sample configurations have been tweaked per patch
new findings and new corpse tab layout. Craft restrictions
on uber weapons and Amuli/PlateHauberks were lifted by
one. Remember, this is in default configurations only - if
you use custom ones, don't forget to adjust them. |
 | Misc. bugs fixed |
|
 | 11/4/2002 - Sound Pack for BS/2 released by Mage Lazerline of Solclaim
 | Mage Lazerline of SC created a number of .WAV files that he
coupled with BS/2's alerts for maximum audio feedback. Check
out this site where he posted his package. |
 | I am hoping to see more cool custom configurations or other
sound packs. If such trend picks up, I'll even create a
dedicated section on the website to them. |
|
 | 11/4/2002 - Version 2.0.0.145
 | Finally something I've been meaning to put into BS/2 for a
while - support for Tradebots! |
 | BS/2 now sports a brand new command called: "/bsp
tradebots" - This command will show you every person in the
surrounding area who is holding a bowl. When you open a
trade window with any of the bowl-holding bots, the icon in the
BS/2 list will be removed to signify that you already visited
that bot |
 | Moreover, you can now setup rules that are specific to only Tradebots. Once you open a
trade window, BS/2 will scan thru the items and quickly let you know if any items match your
tradebot only rules. |
 | Known issues: upon opening a trade window with a tradebot, you
may get spammed a little with descriptions of the last
few items that were placed in the trade window even if they were
not matched against any of your tradebot-only rules. |
|
 | 10/28/2002 - Version 2.0.0.137
 | "Disable Popups" global option is back by
popular demand!! Sorry for taking it out folks :) |
 | BS/2 now includes an option to ignore any spells from
consideration in its rules. Great for ignoring those
"Major Monster Attunement and Deception" spells |
 | BS/2 default profile now has a rule to find Staves. If
you are using your own profiles, you might want to double-check
to make sure you have a rule for Staves which was forgotten form
the default and sample profiles originally. |
 | The annoying "Invalid Procedure or function call"
error that used to happen once in a while during logins should
be gone. |
|
 | 10/16/2002 - Version 2.0.0.125
 | Support for looking for Mana Conversion Mod on Wands |
 | Updated BS/2 for the October patch |
 | A whole slew of bug fixes and small features. Please visit
this
page to see what bugs were fixed. |
 | There seem to have been a number of issues related to this
latest BS/2 release. Please visit a specially created
FAQ thread that explains them. |
|
 | 9/27/2002 - Version 2.0.0.93 |
 | This is a complete rewrite of the plugin. Please read very
carefully: |
 | Bandit Sight/2 Advanced Edition is a complete rewrite of the internal structure, a complete rewrite of the configuration utility.
If you are a computer n00b who doesn't know a hard drive from a
monitor this will be definitely too of an advanced tool for
you. Or if you really don't care for all sorts of bells and
whistles and just want to look for your basic salvage/cantrips than
this tool is probably an overkill for you. |
 | Major new features:
 | I have made some internal changes to the structure of the
plugin and now most of the beta testers reported significant
reduction in lag. |
 | Bandit Sight/2 is now an advanced tool for people who are
looking to configure their profiles with ALOT
of control. Check out these screenshots, you will be amazed as
to how much control does new BS/2 give you. |
 | BS/2 is now rule based as you probably saw from screenshots.
That means you create rules for all sorts of things you want to
be found. BS/2 comes with a very comprehensive default
configuration, but the whole point about is to configure your
own. |
 | BS/2 now has four configurable tabs, and one In Corpse
tab for displaying items in corpses. |
 | BS/2 now flags guild mates! w00t, this feature is neat-o! |
 | BS/2 now comes with the coolest command: "/find
<partialstring>". This command allows you to find
any object that matches your string with a /find command. Very
handy for subway traders to find each other. |
 | BS/2 now allows you the ability to find corpses of monsters
that you kill. Awesome for busy dungeons where you want to make
sure you can quickly target your kills and loot them before
someone else will. |
 | Alerts are now even more customizable and important. Some cute
things include Silent flag on alerts to just add items to list
w/o any spam. Perfect for those monsters that you find in loads
in dire lands/OP yet would want to target from the list. |
 | BS/2 now comes with a bunch of performance settings that will
allow you to tweak some stuff to make your computer lag even
less or find stuff quicker. |
 | Take Note: Unfortunately your original Bandit Sight
configurations aren't compatible with this BS/2 release |
 | Reminder: Profile editor is located in your
Start->Programs->Bandit Sight 2
Get Decal 2.4 for best results. Some of the older 2.3 decals
will no longer work. |
|
 | 8/20/2002 - Version 1.0.0.333 - New features and bug fixes:
 | The most visible feature is Alerts. Via alerts you can
setup a .wav (sound) file to be played when certain items that
you configure are found. Alerts also support color-coding,
which means your notifications can now be in bright yellow, or
green, or red, or whatever you want. I have included a
bunch of .wav files with the package. |
 | Support for Black Opal, Sunstone and Fire Opal materials |
 | Support for Covenant armor. Plugin will now distinguish
between Covenant armor and regular armor and allow you to flag
items based on custom minimum Covenant AL and maximum melee or
missile requirements. |
 | Items in the list view of the control now get brighter the
closer you are to them. |
|
 | 8/10/2002 - Version 1.0.0.240 - New features and bug fixes:
 | It is now possible to add and remove items to/from ExtraSense
(full blown in game profile editor is still coming) |
 | Plugin now supports multiple profiles, allowing you to load
them in game |
 | Help menu available via /bsp help command |
 | Plugin will now scan for gems |
 | Plugin will now allow you to turn off the spam of properties
of the object in your inventory when ID'ed. |
|
 | 8/4/2002 - Version 1.0.0.213 - New features:
 | Option to ignore Minor/Major banes in the configuration
program now |
 | Output now includes full item requirements |
|
 | 8/2/2002 - Version 1.0.0.194 - New features:
 | When information about an item is displayed, it now reports
extensive information about items requirements. |
|
 | 8/1/2002 - Version 1.0.0.166. New features:
 | The big news in this build is the ExtraSense! ExtraSense
does precisely what Sixth Sense does: gives you the
ability to flag items by name. Items will get displayed in
a separate tab. |
 | Auto-popup list window on a match |
 | Implemented Minimum Value to go along with Value/Burden ratio. |
 | Reasons for flagging are now in the listbox too |
|
 | 7/28/2002 - Version 1.0.0.121 is out. Features implemented:
 | Custom formulas are now accepted for those advanced users! |
 | Settings to turn off and on the scanning, and on-demand
scanning! |
|
 | 7/25/2002 - Version 1.0.63. Features implemented:
 | While opening corpses contents are now automatically scanned! |
|
